Air Conditioning Servicing and Maintenance

Regular scheduled maintenance and inspections will keep your system running efficiently and help avoid costly breakdowns.

Why regular servicing matters

Regular servicing is far cheaper and easier to deal with than waiting for something to break. Nobody wants a system failure in the middle of summer when it could have been picked up during a pre-season check.

Lower running costs

Filters, fan coils and drains all need regular attention to keep the system working properly. A neglected unit works harder, uses more power and is more likely to fail. Regular maintenance keeps performance where it should be, saves you money on electricity and avoids the cost and hassle of emergency repairs.

Healthier indoor air

Air conditioning reduces humidity and helps prevent mould in your home or office. But the fan coils themselves produce condensation during cooling, which makes them a prime spot for mould growth. Without regular cleaning, mould spores circulate through the air every time the system runs. During a service, our technicians apply a coil cleaner that removes mould and built-up grime, resulting in cleaner, healthier air. This matters for everyone, but particularly for anyone with asthma, allergies or other respiratory conditions.

Longer system lifespan

A well-maintained air conditioner lasts significantly longer than one that gets ignored. Servicing at the right intervals keeps the mechanical components in good condition, reduces unnecessary strain on the compressor and motor, and picks up wear before it turns into a breakdown.

Coastal rust and corrosion protection

Salt air is one of the biggest threats to air conditioning systems along the mid north coast. The outdoor unit sits exposed to the elements, and in coastal suburbs the salt content in the air accelerates corrosion of the casing, coil fins and internal components. Left untreated, rust will eat through the unit and shorten its lifespan.

We offer rust treatment and corrosion prevention as part of a regular service or as a standalone treatment. This involves applying a protective coating to the outdoor unit's vulnerable surfaces to slow down the effects of salt exposure.

Properties in Bonny Hills, Lighthouse Beach and North Haven are particularly exposed, but any home within a few kilometres of the coast will benefit. If your outdoor unit already has visible rust, get in touch sooner rather than later. Treating it early is far cheaper than replacing the unit.

Pre-season Maintenance

The best time to service your air conditioner is before you need it most. A pre-summer check makes sure the system is cooling properly before the heat arrives, and a pre-winter service does the same for heating. Most breakdowns happen during peak use because faults that developed while the system was sitting idle go unnoticed until it is under full load.
